Santo Domingo. The President of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), Luis Ernesto Camilo, invited journalists who cover for different media the incidents of the commercial sector, a lunch to thank the press for their first year of management at front of the JAC and share the accomplishments of the past twelve months.
"It has been an intense year, of great achievements and challenges assumed and fulfilled. We continue working to achieve the government's goals, in an environment of unity and cohesion in the sector and increasingly institutionally strengthened, "said Camilo.
During lunch, the President of the JAC took the opportunity to inform the most relevant statistical data of the month of August, where in a preliminary way he anticipated that the number of passengers transported reached the number of 1, 246,182 people coming from different destinations of the world, representing a growth of 4.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the details of the data offered, Mr. Camilo meant that the projections at the end of the 2017, indicate that the year will close with numbers close to 14 millions of passengers transported in and out, which represents a new record for the country.
During the meeting that took place at the headquarters of the JAC, a video was projected where different members of the Aviation Board and other prominent actors of the sector testified to the efficient work developed by Mr. Camilo.
